Research and Development Strategies for Human Centered and Group Support Technologies

1992
Abstract : The Armstrong Laboratory's Acquisition Logistics Research and Development Activity at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is actively investigating both human centered technology and group support technology. In order to ensure the development of these technologies with a focus on customer needs and the use of relevant technological developments, the laboratory has been involved in a strategic planning process for future R and D activities. This paper reports the results of research performed by an Institute for Defense Analyses study team whose immediate goal was to help refine and sharpen the focus of the Acquisition Logistics R and D Activity's strategy for human centered technology and group support technology by providing information about, and analysis of, potential customers, relevant technological developments, and probable alternative strategies.
