Genetic markers showing linkage disequilibrium with a chromosome 8p22 schizophrenia susceptibility locus near the pericentriolar material gene (PCM1) are associated with reduced left orbitofrontal cortex grey matter volume and other cerebral morphology changes at MRI compared to non chromosome 8p22 associated schizophrenics.
