Three bullock weighing 600 kg, a were fed with, corn silage, cotton seed meal, and urea and minerals. Five grams of kapok seed ground to 5mm were placed in nylon bag measuring 18x7 cm during 3, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 hours. The potential and effective degradabilities of dry matter, crude protein and neutral detergent fiber were, respectively; 53,66 and 37,22%; 85,88 and 73,11; 15,28 and 12,43% with 3h of incubation, protein degradability was 58,86%, showing a high protein soluble fraction.
