Test and Characterization

The Capitol chip set introduced a new semiconductor technology simultaneously with a new design. Once pilot production had started, a significant variety of test and characterization tasks were carried out on different levels of Capitol chip set engineering hardware. The test sequence of wafer and module tests, their embedding in the flow of chip processing, and subsequent system tests are shown in Figure 169.
