A Coordinated Design of PSS and SVC using the Synchrosqueezing Fourier Transform

2020
The power system low-frequency electromechanical oscillations examine in this paper using a maiden method that is combination of the Prony algorithm and Synchrosqueezed short-time Fourier Transform. The primary purpose of large scale power systems control is the improving the modes damping, therefore, estimation of these modes are necessary that are two types of local and inter-area. The formulation of controller design is assumed as a multiobjective optimization problem and intended parameters is gained here by the combination of Residual and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) methods. This optimization algorithm is handled enhancement the damping and on the other, practical limits of the power system control parameters are considered. The studies of the 68-bus 16-generator system have investigated the efficacy and validation of the suggested method. The simulation shows the method stabilizes the power system.
