The invention relates to a four-way switching valve for a coffee maker, which is characterized in that the four-way switching valve comprises a valve casing, a pressure relief valve stem, a switching valve stem and a switching knob; a first passage, a second passage and a transition passage are arranged in the valve casing, and an inlet, a first outlet, a second outlet and a pressure relief opening are arranged on the valve casing; the pressure relief valve stem is arranged in the second passage, a pressure relief spring is also arranged in the second passage and the pressure relief opening is opened when the pressure relief valve stem moves backwards; the switching valve stem is arranged in the first passage and a spring is also arranged in the first passage; and the switching knob is rotatably arranged on the end surface of the valve casing, an end surface cam is arranged on the end surface of the switching knob and a pushing part is arranged at the external end of the switching knob. By using the switching knob to drive the pressure relief valve stem and the switching valve stem to move forwards and backwards, the inlet is selectively communicated with the first outlet, the second outlet and the pressure relief opening. Therefore, three working states are obtained. Specifically, the processes of water output for pressure relief, water output for coffee boiling and milk froth steaming can be respectively realized after the four-way switching valve is used on the coffee maker, the goal of realizing the multipurpose valve is achieved, the four-way switching valve is simple and light to operate and the cost is low.
