Cooperative effect of inhibiting H2 evolution for stannate and O-aminophenol on Al anode

2005
To control H2 evolution of Al anode in alkaline solution and develop the application of anodic materials based aluminum, the cooperative effect of inhibiting H2 evolution for stannate and O-aminophenol on Al anode in 4 mol/L KOH at room temperature and higher temperature was studied by galvanostatic gathering volumes of hydrogen evolution and stable state polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectrum. The results show that the inhibitive effect of stannate and O-aminophenol for the H2 evolution of Al anode in alkaline is perfect. At higher temperature, hydrogen evolution of Al anode is aggravated in alkaline solution, at the same time, the inhibitive efficiency for stannate and O-aminophenol becomes superer and the inhibitive efficiency keeps stable.
