Cationic complexes of palladium(II) containing phosphorus, arsenic, antimony and nitrogen donor ligands
1989
Pd(ClO4)2 reacts with several monodentate tertiary phosphines, arsines and stibines in MeCN to produce 3-coordinate [PdL3][ClO4]2 (L = Ph3P,Ph2EtP,Ph3As, Ph2MeAs, Nap2MeAs (Nap = 1-naphthyl), Cy3As (Cy = cyclohexeyl), Ph3Sb), while the reaction in THF leads to 4-coordinate [PdL4][ClO4]2 (L = Ph3P, Ph3As, Ph3Sb). With chelating bidentate ligands, Pd(ClO4)2 yields [Pd(L-L)2][ClO4]2 (L-L = Ph2PCH2PPh2, 2-(α-pyridyl)benzimidazole).
