The Biochemistry Change of Rat Model of Diabetes Mellitus Caused by Mental Stress and Intervention of SSRI

2006
Objective:(1)To observe the effect of mental stress and the endocrine change caused by it in a standard diabetes mellitus model of rat,(2)to discuss the effect of paroxetine in mental stress.Methods:60 rats were divided in 5 groups randomly, and the 5 groups included①the control group,②diabetes mellitus group,③mental stress group,④ diabetes mellitus+mental stress group,⑤diabetes mellitus+mental stress+ paroxetine group. The streptozotocin can result in diabetes mellitus,at the same time the mental stress will be carried out,and paroxetine will be used to intervene the stress, then we will observe the difference of blood glucose, insulin, blood fat and cortisol in the different groups.Result:The blood glucose of the third group is different from the first one,but it did not reach the standard of diabetes mellitu. The insulin, blood fat and cortisol and so on.The fourth one is different from the second. The fifth is same result compared with the fourth one. Conclusion:Mental stress can aggravate the pathogenetic condition of diabetes mellitus, while SSRI can relieve the progress of diabetes mellitus.
