Green Productivity Improvement in Ferrites using Taguchi Methods

2017
A new form of productivity-ecofriendly, termed as Green Productivity’, has overtaken most initiatives of engineering production. It especially becomes a frontline issue if an industry-situated in a hilly area-attempts to claim a place in the electronics engineering arena. The present work is an attempt to improve green productivity by lowering of defects, increasing response to dimensional characteristics and improve magnetic properties using Taguchi methods. Results of a pilot study were used to optimize addition of binders, by which variation in input parameters was further used to select resulting shrinkage level as an input (design) parameter. By limited experimentation from a pilot study optimum parameters were stipulated for the main study, the results of which are reported.
