Introduction Chlamydia trachomatis (chlamydia) infection is the most common bacterial sexually transmitted diseases (STD). However, the prevalence among young people is unknown in our country. In 2007, the monitoring of the prevalence and behaviours related to acquiring it began in Catalonia in young people ≤ 25 years.
