B2Card: A Business Card Android Application Utilizing BLE Beacon Technology

Exchanging business cards is a useful process for making relationship among people. So, many smartphone applications for exchanging electronic business cards in the air are developed. Unfortunately, most of such applications need to grant accesses to each other's devices, leading to possible security leaks. In this paper, we present a new smartphone application named B2Card for business card exchange, which is free from those leaks. B2Card uses BLE beacons as transmitting means for delivering LinkedIn profiles or custom-made business cards with the help of an extended URL shortener service.
