HELIOS: An All-Optical Broadcast LAN Architecture

We present a new all-optical broadcast LAN architecture and an accompanying signaling protocol. The design, verified in a partial hardware emulation, is fault-tolerant and collision-free, allowing it to achieve high throughput in a broadcast environment.
