Electron removal during the D.C. discharge afterglow of carbon monoxide

Abstract Microwave diagnostics indicates that electron-ion two-body recombinations occurs with α r = = 6.8 ± 1.2 × 10 -7 cm 3 /sec. For p ⩾ 2 Torr the removal rate increases with pressure indicating attachment to some reaction product of CO.
