A new potential ligand for paramagnetic complexes acting as a receptor-specific MRI contrast agent was investigated by means of one- and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. A complete assignment of the structure is reported. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
