The invention provides a mobile terminal which comprises a display module, a first touch module, a second touch module and a processing module. The display module is used for providing a display interface, the display interface is used for displaying visual objects, the first touch module is used for providing a first touch interface, the first touch interface is used for receiving touch operation, the second touch module is adjacent to the first touch module and used for providing a second touch interface, the second touch interface is used for receiving touch operation, and the processing module is used for controlling mode switching of contents displayed by the display module according to the touch operation successively received by the second touch interface and the first touch interface. The invention further provides a mode switching method of the mobile terminal. By the method, mode switching operation steps are simplified, and modes of the mobile terminal can be rapidly switched.
