Compact And Broadband Directional Coupler for High-power Applications

In this paper, a compact and broadband coupler is presented for high-power applications in the frequency band of 200 ∼ 1000 MHz. The coupler is composed of two compact semiflexible coaxial cables and two ferrite core inductors. Such design exhibits high power handling capacity (up to 300 W) and flat coupling of −19 dB. The directivity of the coupler is less than −19 dB.
