CCD Scanning Technique Applied to Millisecond Photometric Observations

2001
We show how inherent features of CCD scanning technique are advantageous for fast (in the order of millisecond) photometric observations (FPO), even with submeter class telescopes. In particular, lunar occultations and speckle interferometry experiences has been carried out using this technique. Regarding occultations, we registered several successful events. In particular, we present SAO79031. Subsequent data analysis for stellar diameter estimation and close binaries detection is also considered. Finally, an example of speckle interferometry application is shown.
