Sweetening agent in the form of instant tablets weighing 0.06 g and containing a dry extract of leaves of stevia (mixture of glycosides) was developed. Optimal technical conditions for obtaining tablets were found. The excipients were selected to ensure that the quality of the tablets meets the requirements of the pharmacopoeia and to maximize the effectiveness of the sweetener. In vivo studies proved its efficacy and safety. It has been established that the use of stevioside has no effect on blood glucose level in the absence of disease of carbohydrate metabolism, sweetener was shown also to reduce triglyceride levels.
