A educação em saúde como ferramenta estratégica no desenvolvimento de ações de prevenção da transmissão do HIV: um relato de experiência

Objective: This paper aim to describe an experience report whose main objective was to use health education as a tool for the training of adolescents as multipliers of information related to Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Viral Hepatitis (VH). In addition, it aimed to provide on-campus a debate on the subject, provide the population with sexual health information and conduct screening for STI. Experience report: The method of execution of the proposal consisted of two stages, the first one composed of a review of the literature, formation of a study group on the themes and training of students of scientific initiation to be active subjects and protagonists of the proposal. In the second stage, health education actions were carried out and care was given to the internal and external communities of the Campus. Final considerations: The project resulted in the deepening of the research students (scholarship and volunteers) in the STI / HIV / VH theme, the formation of these as information multipliers within the context of the young population. There was an increase in the knowledge about the issue of STI prevention, focusing on HIV and VH, and enabled moments of health education among adolescents on campus, and with the internal and external community in the municipality of Aguas Lindas de Goias.
