ITS - some practical advice

The individual member codes of the Integrated TIGER Series (ITS) of coupled electron-photon Monte Carlo transport codes have been in use in various versions for more than two decades. Interaction with a worldwide user base has resulted in continuous improvement of the codes. We collect here some advice that we feel should be helpful to new users (possibly some veterans) of the system.
