Caracterización de los errores léxico-pragmáticos en la producción oral de un grupo de cuatro estudiantes holandeses de Español como Lengua Extranjera (ELE)

2021
This research talks about the topic of Error Analysis (AE) and its purpose is to characterize the lexical-pragmatic errors of the oral production of four Dutch students of SSL (Spanish as a Second Language). As Quinones (2009) points out, the AE method was developed during the 70s of the 20th century and the first studies in Applied Linguistics of SSL were carried out in the 90s, thanks to the works developed by Vasquez (1991), Fernandez (1991) and Santos Gallardo (1992). From this perspective and, in order to meet the proposed objectives, the main theoretical-conceptual contributions are taken into account in relation to error and its analysis, the lexical and pragmatic dimension and oral production. Taking into account that this research is developed within the framework of the inter-institutional program of Telecollaborations between the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the University of Utrecht, Holland, the data corpus is selected, and the identification, description and classification of the lexical-pragmatic errors is carried out taking into account the taxonomy of Fernandez Jodar (2006) and the theory of the register proposed by Halliday (1978). The results indicate that the participants make more formal errors than those relating to meaning and that the presence of lexical-pragmatic errors is very low. In addition, it is also identified that one of the most frequent difficulties of this group of students is related to the derivational and inflectional morphology that affects lexical errors and from there, incidences in the topics of interaction and communication are evident. Finally, some limitations of this degree work are presented and topics that could be developed in future research are proposed. Keywords: error analysis, lexical error, pragmatic error, lexical-pragmatic error, oral production, registry theory.
