Application of test-enhanced learning method in the training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in "3+ 2" assistant general practitioners

2018
Objective To explore the application of test-enhanced learning (TEL) teaching pattern in the training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation in "3+ 2" assistant general practitioners. Methods A total of 60 "3+ 2" assistant general practitioners of clinical orientation classes that entered Capital Medical University in 2015 and 2016 (hereinafter referred to as "trainees" ), trained in Pinggu Hospital in 2016, were randomly divided into two groups: traditional teaching group and TEL teaching group, using the experimental control method. In the training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, the experimental groap adopted the TEL teaching method, and the control group used the traditional teaching method. Compared the theory and skill assessments of the two groups after the training was complete for one week and 0.5 year, and two groups of students were surveyed one week after the end of the training. Results The results of the two examinations of the TEL group were superior to those of the traditional teaching group. The differences were statistically significant (all P<0.05). The questionnaire results showed that the trainees were more satisfied with the TEL teaching method. Conclusions The TEL teaching method can improve the learning efficiency and contribute to the preservation of long-term memory, which can be applied to the training of cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills.
