The invention relates to a high-efficiency chilling device which solves the problems of water carrying of the synthetic gas when leaving the chilling chamber, high ash content in the synthetic gas, unacceptable water-gas ratio in the synthetic gas, unretainable liquid level inside the chilling chamber, down pipe burnout and the like in the existing chilling device. In order to solve the technical problems, the technical scheme is as follows: the high-efficiency chilling device comprises a shell, a chilling ring and a down pipe, and is sequentially provided with the chilling ring, the down pipe, a down pipe protector, a double-stroke overflow hydrocyclone and a pleated plate from top to bottom, wherein the chilling ring is connected with a slag port; the upper part of the down pipe is communicated with the slag port; the down pipe protector is installed on the outer wall of the down pipe; and the double-stroke overflow hydrocyclone and the pleated plate are connected between the inner wall of the shell and the outer wall of the down pipe from top to bottom. The high-efficiency chilling device effectively protects the down pipe middle upper part which can be eroded easily, ensures the efficient chilling effect of the chilling device and the service life of the down pipe, and increases the defoaming area of the chilling chamber; and the rupture of the fine foam carried in the synthetic gas and the gas-liquid separation lower the ash/water carrying probability of the synthetic gas, enhance the dust removal effect of the synthetic gas and ensure the long-term stable operation of the gasifier.
