Ozonation of The Aqueous Layers Obtained from Thermochemical Treatment of Solid Waste with 15% Acetic Acid and NaOH

1987
Aqueous suspension of the solid waste (20% by weight) obtained from wastewater treatment plant of pulp and paper factory, SEKA, in Tasucu, Turkey, have been treated with acetic acid and sodium hydroxide (15% by weight of solid) at 250°C, 300°C, and 350°C in a high pressure autoclave for one hour. The reaction mixture was separated into solid-oil and aqueous layers. The aqueous layers were diluted with water and then subjected to ozonation.
