Diffraction of Light on Liquid-Crystal Modulated Systems at Inclined Incidence

Abstract The subject of the present work is an experimental investigation of the diffraction for an inclined beam incidence to modulated LC structures forming various types of diffractional gratings. A number of new experimental data is obtained, analytical expressions are found for some of them. An effect was detected of asymmetrical extinction in odd orders of the diffraction at certain light beam incidence angles to the LC layer.
