Study on Harmonic Current Detection Method Based on Unity Power Factor

The concept of power factor was introduced into control system of active power filter, and this paper built the mathematic model of harmonic current detection method based on UPF. The optimum project was presented for lowpass filter. The effects of the type, the order and the cutoff frequency of the filter on the precision of detect and dynamic responses were analyzed. In the end, the MATLAB/SIMULINK was used to simulate the detection method, and a conclusion was obtained by shunt APF experiment based on DSP that validates this detection method is feasible and effective.
