Observation of Arthroscopic Treatment and Traditional Chinese Medicine Therapy of Diffused Pigmented Villonodular Synovitis of The Knee

Objective:To observe the clinical results of arthroscopic treatment and traditional Chinese medicine therapy of diffused pigmented villonodular synovitis.Methods:9 cases of diffused pigmented villonodular synovitis were treated by arthroscopic treatment and traditional Chinese medicine therapy.average age was 39 years old((range,15～58years old),with duration of average 21 months(range,15～36months),using rutine anterior approach combined with posteromadial,posterolateral and trans-posterior-septal approach.All the cases were treated by traditional Chinese medicine after the operation.The patients were followed up for 6～36 months,and were evaluated for range of motion and function of the whole leg.Results:At the last follow-up,the range of motion was 136.0°±3.5° on average,IKDC subjective knee score was 82.9±5.0,the Lysholm score was 81.4±3.6.Conclusion:Traditional Chinese medicine have a great valuation In arthroscopic treatment of diffused pigmented villonodular synovitis of the knee.
