Measurement of the Rydberg constant by doppler‐free spectroscopy of atomic hydrogen

2008
A new measurement of the Rydberg constant is presented whose precision with respect to frequency/wavelength standard is 4.4×10−11. The result shows that the present realization of the meter is no longer satisfactory in the optical domain. (AIP)
