Arsenic is a kind of necessary trace elements of li vestock and poultry nutrition, and plays an importa nt role in the tissues and organs and metabolism, etc. With the ra pid development of feed industry, the organic arsin e preparations of feed additives have been widely applied in anima l husbandry. But these organic arsine preparations are absorbed less in animal body, and large amount of them are d irectly discharged by the animal dung. The animal d ung which contains a lot of arsenic is not harmlessly managed , and it has polluted the environment and endangere d human health. The types, mechanism of action and applicat ions of the organic arsine are briefly introduced ipaper. The toxicological effects, the harm to human and ec ological environment, and the related treatment mea sures of the organic arsine are mainly reviewed. We put forward to forbid entirely the use of organic arsine prepar ations in feed industry as soon as possible.
