Determination of ceftazidime by capillary zone electrophoresis

2002
Objective To establish a CZE method for the determination of ceftazidime. Methods A untreated fused-silica capillary(75 μm×48.5 cm, 40 cm effective length) was used. The voltage was 30 kV. The temperature was 20℃. The running buffer was 25 mmol·L -1 borax buffer (adjusted to pH 8.0 with phosphoric acid). The detective wavelength was set at 230 nm. Results The calibration curve was liner within the range of 19.36~309.76 mg·L -1(r=0.999 9), and the lowest limit of detection was 0.5 mg·L -1. The added recovery was 96.8% and the RSD was 0.65%. The intra-day precision and inter-day precision were less than 3.0%. Conclusion The method is simple, rapid and reliable.
