Radioactive waste treatment device

2011
The utility model discloses a radioactive waste treatment device, which comprises a furnace, a furnace cover, a cooling device and an electrode, wherein the furnace cover is fastened with the furnace which is wrapped by the cooling device, and the electrode is obliquely inserted into the furnace from the furnace cover. Fireproof materials are not added into the furnace, a molten mass discharge port is arranged at the bottom of the furnace, a feeding port, an electrode inserting hole and a tail gas discharge port are arranged above the furnace cover, and the cooling device is used for maintaining the temperature of the furnace from 25 DEG C to 150 DEG C at an initial forming stage of a molten pool so that inorganic wastes on the inner wall of the furnace form a kish. A through hole axially arranged on the electrode is used for inputting plasma operation gas, and an electric arc is formed when the electrode is powered on and used for heating the plasma operation gas so as to form a hot plasma area in the furnace. The furnace is free of fireproof materials, and the kish is formed by the molten mass in an area close to the inner wall of the furnace, so that the furnace wall cannot be directly contacted with the molten mass, and the furnace is protected from being polluted by radionuclide. Additionally, the radioactive waste treatment device is long in service life and generates little decommissioned wastes.
