The invention relates to an automatic detection system fault on at least one rotary member of an aircraft engine, comprising: - heating means (9) embedded for heating said rotatable member (3) of the motor (5) by a thermal stress, - thermographic means (11) embedded to acquire at least one image (23) reflecting infrared thermal field transient phase of said rotary member, and -the processing means (15) for calculating the differential relative to a component of thermal field between various subdivisions of said image to detect variations of said component of the thermal field indicative of defects on said rotating element.
