International industrial transfer is mostlymarket-driven. Many historic experiences and cases showthat any form of trade protectionism is not based on economic rationality, and is always against the law of industrial transfer. This essayreviews the semiconductor product trade wars which have happened duringthe past thirtyyears, and analyzes the actual effects of trade protectionism.
