GFRP REINFORCED CONCRETE SLAB

2000
The results of an experimental study on the behavior of concrete slab of glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) are reported. Two slabs, of 1000 by 1200 mm, were tested under sustained loading. The study was conducted at ambient temperature, which ranged from 20 to 24 degrees Celsius. A set of GFRP shapes were treated with a sand coat to improve bond characteristics. This set of "U" GFRP shapes was used to cast one slab. The second slab received GFRP shapes without treatment. (a) For the covering entry of this conference, please see ITRD abstract no. E204495.
