Deux bactéries rares responsables de septicémies chez des malades neutropéniques : Capnocytophaga ochracea et Stomatococcus mucilaginosus

1991
We are reporting six observations of septicemia due to Capnocytophaga ochracea and Stomatococcus mucilaginosus in neutropenic patients. The treatment was successful in all cases when an antibiotic association including a B lactam antibiotic was used. The mouth flora can now be considered to be responsible for serious infection in immunodepressed patients in the same way as the exogeneous hospital flora and the endogenic intestinal flora are responsible for infection.
