Uso de matriz dérmica acelular en cubrimiento de recesiones gingivales. Reporte de caso

2017
Gingival recession can be seen as the apical migration of the gingival margin representing a common defect, both in individuals with patterns of good oral hygiene and those with poor hygiene; leaving exposed the root surface that can create hypersensitivity or making difficult the biofilm control. In that sense, this research aims to describe the periodontal condition of the patient study using acellular dermal matrix in coverage of gingival recessions. Information was collected through an observation guide and validated by an expert judgment. This was a field research with non-experimental descriptive purpose, qualitative longitudinal type with an intentional sample unit and prior informed consent form. This case report was conducted in private practice. This study showed that 5 mm clinical initial recession size decreased to 1 mm after treatment, giving coverage of the recession of 4mm, which demonstrate that this is a safe, acceptable and highly predictable treatment.
