Estimation du potentiel éolien pour la région d'In Salah

This work aims consist on the In Salah region wind map, which located in the central Sahara of Algeria. This study was conducted using the WAsP software (1). It takes into account the data roughness, topography and wind speed of In Salah. In order to characterize the surface nature, the roughness was defined according to the roughness values classes, given by WAsP. The topography was obtained by a digital terrain model (DTM). In addition, the wind speed and direction data recorded by the National Office of Meteorology (NOM) (2) were used to define the wind atlas of In Salah region.
