Analysis of 851 Cases of ADR in a Hospital

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the characteristics and general pattern of ADR,and to provide reference for the safety of drug use.METHODS:By retrospective study,a total of 851 ADR cases collected from a hospital during 2006-2012 were analyzed statistically.RESULTS:Among 851 ADR cases,the majority were young people aged 20 to 30 years old,including 199 cases(23.38%).The majority were induced by psychiatric drugs,including 744 cases(87.43%).Organs or systems involved in ADR were most frequently reported as nervous system disorders,including 355 cases(36.49%);followed by gastrointestinal system disorders,including 173 cases(17.78%).CONCLUSIONS:Psychiatric drugs-induced ADR monitoring should be strengthened to promote rational drug use,avoid or reduce the occurrence of ADR and enhance the safety of drug use in patients with mental illness.
