Research progress in the anabolic mechanism of parathyroid hormone in bone formation

Objective Recently,animal experiments and clinical studies for prevention and treatment of osteoporosis show that parathyroid hormone(PTH) strongly stimulates bone formation and reduces the incidence of bone fracture.Recombinant human parathyroid hormone is the only drug on the market for stimulating bone formation.This paper reviews its anabolic mechanism in bone formation.
