Valoración funcional de la fractura-luxación de codo

2000
In this work, we have studied the functional result of the fracture-dislocation of the elbow once rehabilitation treatment has been completed. To do so, we performed a retrospective study that collected 45 cases seen in the last 10 years, and the posterior humeral-cubital dislocation associated to radial head fracture was the most frequent injury. We have used the Morrey et al assessment scale as we understand that it considers those factors that can be altered most in this type of lesion (pain, mobility, stability and function). In our sample, the final results obtained when this scale was applied were: excellent in 26 cases, good in 13, regular in 5 and poor only in I case. It is important to point out that we not only looked for the complete movement arch, which is difficult to obtain, but also we attempted to obtain a useful elbow, that is, one valid to perform activities of daily living independently.
