Phase composition and microstructure of glass ceramics for tiles based on Israeli basalts

The influence of F - , TiO 2 and P 2 O 5 dopants on crystal formation, phase composition and microstructure of basaltic glass ceramics was investigated. It was observed that P 2 O 5 had a negative influence on the crystallisation process. F - moved the temperature of the initial crystallisation to a lower temperature. TiO 2 did not seem to have any influence on the phase formation. These additives were found to have a very slight influence on the final microstructure
