Determinationof oxfloxacin with CdS nanoparticles by resonance rayleigh scattering method

2011
In the presence of sodium dodecyl sulphonate(SDS),the CdS nanoparticles can react with oxfloxacin to form bigger aggregates by electrostatic attraction and hydrophobic force. The aggregates greatly arouse Resonance Rayleigh scattering(RRS).The maximum RRS peaks are located at 365nm for this system. The enhancements of scattering(△I) are directly proportional to the concentration of the oxfloxacin.A high sensitive method for the determination of oxfloxacin based on the system of CdS-oxfloxacin-SDS has been developed. The detection limit is 2.0×10-4 μg/mL.The linear range is 4.0×10-3~4.0×10-1μg/mL.This method has been applied to the determination of samples directly with satisfactory results.
