Effect of silver and rare earths on tensile property of SnAgCuRE lead-free solder

Using perpendicular experiment method,the tensile property of SnAgCuRE lead-free solder alloy was proved. The results show that the additions of Ag and RE influence tensile properties of SnAgCuRE solder alloy.The tensile strength is improved with the increasing of the content of Ag.The elongation is influenced biggest by RE,SnAgCuRE lead-free solder alloy has the best tensile strength and elongation when w(RE)is 0.1%,but the elongation will drop when w(RE)is 0.5%.
