Study on Optimized Design of Hydraulic Structure for PDC Bits Based on CFX

CFX of CFD simulation software was applied to carry on bottom-hole flow field simulation of the PDC bit.And analysis of the PDC bit fluid field was made,including intensity,pressure,speed and so on.The results showed that the hydraulic model of the existing drill was a certain defect structure.The location and spray angle of the nozzles in the bit were adjusted.In accordance with the principles of structural optimization of hydraulic configuration,the adjusted bottom-hole flow field of the PDC bit and the original flow field in the bottom-hole were compared,the comparison results showed that in the bottom hole flow field has been significantly improved.
