The purpose of this study provides viewpoints different from the dimensions affected graduates to choose the level of a career that will be pursued after graduating from college. It is essential to understand that, to be able to compete with other graduates in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, these graduates must have extrinsic and intrinsic factors so that graduates can competitive advantage compared to other graduates. The method of writing this article uses a literature review by looking at various studies literature related to career selection. As a result, these graduates can compete in society, in addition to extrinsic and intrinsic factors, social media factors become a significant factor in influencing the mindset of these graduates. The implication of this study is the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 can change the mindset of employers and graduates through the impact of social media that is so massive in influencing the behavior of graduates to choose career paths.
