Hydraulic Engineering : Saving a Threatened Resource—In Search of Solutions

1992
This proceedings, Hydraulic Engineering: Saving a Threatened Resource—In Search of Solutions, cotains papers presented at the 1992 National Conference on Hydraulic Engineering, a component of Water Forum '92, held at Baltimore, Maryland, August 2-5, 1992. The Conference provided a forum for advancement of scientific knowledge and promotion of sound engineering in many areas related to hydraulics and hydrology. The collected papers emphasize both new and traditional issues, research, and methodology in hydraulic engineering. Newer methodology includes urban stormwater quality, GIS in watershed analysis, 3-D hydrodynamic models, hydraulics of oil spills, and planning for new research emphasis in hydraulic engineering. In addition, traditional topics such as waste-site remediation, hydraulic and hydrologic measurement, water supply, flood control, dredging measurements, bridge scour, and coastal hydraulics are also discussed.
