Educação de usuários a partir da avaliação das condições físicas da coleção em uma biblioteca universitária

Assessment of the physical condition of the book collection from the Physical Education School library at UFRGS. The goal of the survey is to provide some guidance for the allocation of the library’s financial resources. The study analyzed the entire collection, as opposed to just a sample of it. The results indicate that most of the detected damage is due to book mishandling. The scarce resources for repairs may be more effectively used if directed for preventive education.
