The invention discloses a salicylaldehyde glycine Schiff base and o-phenanthroline copper (II) coordination compound which has a structure as follows. A preparation process of the coordination compound comprises the steps of dissolving 1-2mmol of glycine and 1-2mmol of potassium hydroxide in 5-10mL of absolute methanol, heating and stirring till the solution is dissolved fully; then dropwise adding 5-10mL of a methanol solution containing 1-2mmol of salicylaldehyde in the solution, stirring continuously, and conducting a reflux reaction for 1-2 hours at a temperature between 50 DEG C and 70 DEG C; and adding 2-4mL of 0.50mol/L copper acetate aqueous solution, conducting the reflux reaction for 2 hours, adding 0.2-0.4g of o-phenanthroline, conducting the reflux reaction for 3 hours, cooling, filtering to obtain grass green precipitates, so that the salicylaldehyde glycine Schiff base and o-phenanthroline copper (II) coordination compound is obtained. The salicylaldehyde glycine Schiff base and o-phenanthroline copper (II) coordination compound has the advantages of being high in anticancer activity, good in lipid solubility, low in cost, simple in preparation process and the like, can be used for preparing drugs for treating human liver cancer and human lung adenocarcinoma and provides a new path for development of anti-cancer drugs.
