Ortopedik Cerrahi Geçiren 65 Yaş Üstü Hastaların İntraoperatif Basınç Yaralanması Risk Değerlendirmesi

Introduction: Patients who have surgery tend to develop pressure sores during the surgical procedure. Elderly patients who underwent orthopedic surgery are in the risk group for pressure sore. Aim: In this study, it was planned to evaluate the risk of developing intraoperative pressure sore in patients over 65 years old who have undergone orthopedic surgery. Methods: The descriptive research’s sample consisted of 102 patients who accepted participation in a hospital operating room of Orthopedics and Traumatology in Ankara. The data of the research were collected using 3S Operating Room Pressure Wound Risk Diagnosis Scale and personal information form for data regarding socio-demographic and clinical features. The data were shown as numbers, percentages, median, interquartile range and, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis test were used in data analysis. Results : Of the individuals with an average age of 72.395.89, 69.6% are women, and 30.4% are men. When the total scale median score was 17.00, the scale mediean score of women was found to be 18.00 and the median score of men was 16.00 (p<.05). According to the type of surgery performed, the median scores were; 24.00 of those who underwent amputation operation, 21.00 of those who underwent posterior fusion surgery, 17.00 of those who underwent total knee replacement surgery and 13.50 of those who underwent open reduction internal fixation surgery (p<0.05). Conclusion: In line with the results of the research; pressure injury risk was high in women and individuals undergoing amputation surgery over 65 years old.
